All bookings are subject to these conditions except by prior arrangements
confirmed in writing by the owner.The gite is set up to cater for up to eight people, any additional members of the party
must be agreed to by the owner before booking the gite.
First of all you need to contact us either by e-mail or
phone to check the dates you would like to book are available. Once dates have been confirmed we will hold the booking for
a week to give you time to send us your deposit and completed booking form. A 25% deposit is required to confirm your booking.
A confirmation of your booking will then be e-mailed or (confirmed by phone and mailed to you )immediately upon receipt of
deposit, together with an invoice showing the balance of payment to be made and the date it is due. The balance of the total
hire charge and the security deposit must be paid at least eight weeks before the beginning of the holiday start date, failure
to do this may result in the deposit being forfeited and the hiring canceled. Reminders will not be sent to hirers when the
balance falls due. In the event of late payment of the balance, the right is reserved to cancel the hiring. When bookings
are made eight weeks or less in advance, the whole of the hire charge must be paid on booking. Lettings are provisional until
receipt of a completed booking form and deposit cheque.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellation by client should
be made in writing to the owners. Cancellation charges apply from the date of receipt of the client's cancellation
letter.
More than 12 weeks before arrival date 25% 12 to 6 weeks before arrival date 50% of total cost.
Less than 6 weeks before arrival date 100% of total cost.
The owner will confirm receipt of the cancellation
and notify the client of the cancellation fee. You are strongly advised to take out a comprehensive travel insurance
policy to include cancellation cover. Cancellation by the owners. If for any reason the owners are obliged to cancel
the client's booking all monies paid to date will be refunded in full. This is the limit of the owners liability.
ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE TIMES
The gite will be available from 4pm onwards on your arrival day (please let
us know if you think you will be arriving later than 8 pm). On the final day, departures by 10am please to give us time to
prepare the gite for the next guests. Normally bookings are by the week from Saturday to Saturday but alternative arrival
and departure dates can be offered out of the high season. Please ask if you are interested. The gite is also available
for long term bookings, please inquire for the long term rates and conditions.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A
refundable security deposit of 150 pounds (170 Euros) is payable with your final payment, this security cheque will be cashed
but will be returned to you in full within 14 days of departure, providing no damage has occurred, and the gite has been left
as you found it, i.e. in a clean and tidy condition. The owner reserves the right to retain a proportion of the security deposit
if the client leaves the property in an untidy or unacceptable condition. Any damages found in the gite will result
in deductions from the security deposit. If there are any damages or breakages in excess of the damage deposit the hirer agrees
to reimburse the owner the full cost of repairs. The client must report defects or breakdowns in the property or garden
in order that repairs/replacements may be carried out as soon as possible.
BED & BEDDING
Bed linen
& towels are provided. Towels are not to be removed from the property so please bring your own towels for swimming.
LAUNDRY FACILITIES
Automatic washing machine, iron & ironing board.
CLEANING
Equipment and products are provided to clean the gite. The client is responsible for leaving the house and its contents
clean and tidy as they found it at the start of the let. This includes washing up, cleaning oven, barbecue, basin,
showers, toilets, floors, folding bedding, returning all furniture to its original position.
If the gite is left
in a dirty condition a cleaning levy will be imposed up to a 50 pound limit, and this will be deducted from your security
deposit. INVENTORY
Please check the inventory on
arrival and note any damaged/missing items in the house information file. Inventory will be checked upon arrival and departure
and the owners reserve the right to charge for any broken, damaged or missing items.
DISCLAIMER
The
owners cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any injury or damage to clients or any member of their party whilst
using the house or garden, the owners also cannot accept any responsibility for clients property left in gite.
DISPUTES
In the event of any disputes that cannot be resolved between the client(s) and the owners, the courts of France
shall have jurisdiction.
PLEASE NOTE
In common with most of rural France, drainage is into a septic
tank and therefore ONLY Natural Body Waste and French loo paper may be flushed down the loo. Only special septic tank loo
cleaners must be used, so we will supply loo paper and cleaning products for your use.
Rental prices include electricity,
water and gas. Electricity in all seasons will be metered on consumption. Unreasonably high consumption will be charged
at cost and deducted from the security deposit. Unreasonable consumption will be determined by, and at the sole discretion
of the owner.
GUESTS ARE ASKED TO REFRAIN FROM SMOKING INSIDE THE HOUSE.
PAYMENTS
You
can make payments either by cheque or direct to our bank account, whichever you prefer. However for late bookings made within
8 weeks of the holiday start date, payment must be made in full at the time of booking directly into our bank account details
of which will be supplied. Alternative if you wish to pay in Euros we have a French bank account and I can provide you
with the details on request.
